In this design, creating new sight lines was really important. We carefully positioned plants, redesigned steps and pathways and added a pergola to create privacy and new focal points. By creating very different views from the house, lower garden and a sun-baked terrace, we wanted to draw the eye and add a sense of exploration in a medium-sized plot.
